Parent to Families: A Letter from your AUPFA Board Member | March 2023

Posted almost 2 years ago .
From Parent & Family Association Board of Directors

Greetings Toomers Parents and Family,

We are in the home stretch for this semester. My daughter will be graduating in May and it feels like we were just moving her to The Hill in ’19. If your student will be graduating, click here for everything you need to know, from where to park to the times of the different colleges' graduation ceremonies and more.

It's not too late for your student to reach out for help to finish this semester strong. Academic Affairs has programs and services designed to help students gain the skills to perform their best in the classroom and beyond. If your student needs academic support, have them check out all the resources and programs that are available: http://academicsupport.auburn.edu/

  • Final exams are May 1-5. The final exam schedule can be found here.

Remind your student about Auburn's amazing Recreation and Wellness Center. They will find intramural and club sports, fitness classes, a climbing wall, aquatics, personal training, and more. There are also many student employment opportunities. Check it all out at http://www.campusrec.auburn.edu/home

If your student needs counseling, Student Counseling & Psychological Service can be an excellent resource on campus http://wp.auburn.edu/scs/.

Great podcast resources for parents are College Parent Central https://www.collegeparentcentral.com/podcast/ and Beyond the Bricks. Beyond the Bricks just launched and will share behind the scenes information about how the AU campus is designed, built, and maintained. You can find the podcast on most streaming services or via their podcast webpage: https://fm.auburn.edu/podcasts/

Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help in any way.

War Eagle,

Nancy McMahon

AUPFA Board President
