First 56 Signature Events | Fall 2022

Encourage your student to take advantage of the signature events coming for the First 56!


The First 56, a period of 56 days between August 8 – October 2, is a collection ofmore than a hundred events and opportunities for you to get connected to new friends and to Auburn and its resources while building healthy habits inside and outside the classroom. Go to aub.ie/welcomecalendar to see the full list of events on AUinvolve! Below are just a few signature events coming up during these first two weeks…

  • This Saturday: University Program Council (UPC) Presents “Saturday at Sunset” – Cater Hall Lawn @ 7:00-9:30pm – Come simply hang out, meet other students that come, and take some pictures with fun props
  • This Sunday: UPC Presents “Sundae Funday” – Green Space next to The Edge @ 5:00-7:00pm – Come get some first-come, first-serve ice cream and hang out to meet other students
  • Monday: Convocation! 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 1st Day of Classes and “Get Rec’d” – Campus Rec @ 5:00-7:00pm – Finish your first day of classes with food, fun, fitness, and freebies at the Campus Rec
  • Wednesday: “Waffles with Woodard” – Haley Concourse @ 8:30-10:30am – Come enjoy free Waffle House from Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Bobby Woodard!
  • Thursday:
    • “Pizza & Popsicles with the President” – The President’s Home @ 11am-1pm – If you can come, please RSVP here! – Come meet Auburn President Dr. Christopher B. Roberts and enjoy free pizza and popsicles on the front lawn of The President’s Home. You can either walk up to the home or take a dedicated shuttle that will be running from the Quad Loop at the end of the Haley Concourse next to the Student Center.
    • UPC “Tiger Nights: Student Center Takeover” – The Melton Student Center @ 7:00-10:00pm – Come hang out in the Student Center with lots of activities like arcade games, a movie, mini golf, a silent disco, free pizza, and more
  • Saturday (the 20th): UPC “Welcome Back Concert: Dayglow w/ The Brook & The Bluff” – The Gogue Performing Arts Center – Yard Games and Activities begin at 4:30pm, Auditorium Doors Open at 6:30pm, Concert begins at 7:00pm
