Academic Support hosts a variety of academic skill development programs that promote self-directed learning strategies and student success. Here are some programs your student may want to use.
- Academic Coaching – Empowers students to achieve academic goals through improved study habits and strategies by working with a coach to identify action steps to meet personal outcomes.
- Study Partners Peer Tutoring – Provides peer tutoring for many undergraduate core courses.
- Supplemental Instruction – Supports historically difficult classes with weekly active review sessions facilitated by students who previously excelled in the course.
In addition to fostering academic success, students can also work as a peer leader in a future semester! Academic Support hires about 100 undergraduate students each semester to serve in the SI Leader and/or Peer Tutor roles. If your student is interested, they can learn more on the office’s “Join the Team” webpage!
