Technology Help
It is the phone call we all dread, “My computer died… what do I do?” So much of the student educational experience relies upon technology, and stress skyrockets when it is not working right.
The Office of Information Technology is a tremendous resource for students experiencing technology difficulties. Students can contact the Office of Technology Service Desk to get individual help troubleshooting whatever issue they are struggling with. The IT Service Desk serves Auburn’s faculty, staff, and students. It receives hundreds of questions each day by telephone, online chat, email, video call, and from walk-in clients. The consultants are Auburn students supported by full-time subject matter expert specialists. The Office of Information Technology can help resolve most software and account issues and problems with AU Access, Canvas, and Duo Security.
If your student is dealing with a hardware issue and has an Apple device, the Auburn University Bookstore Technology Store may be able to help. They make every effort to fix devices as quickly as possible. For hardware issues with non-apple devices, students can contact one of several local repair shops for assistance.
If your student is without a device while it is being repaired or replaced, they can use a computer in one of the Computing Labs on campus or contact the Auburn University Library to check out a laptop as a short-term loan.
