Summer Storage Solutions

Has your student accumulated many more possessions during their year at Auburn? Do you live quite a distance from campus? Are you disinterested in welcoming furniture back into your home after it has lived in an apartment for nine months with college kids? Summer storage might be just the answer you are looking for.

There are several standard-sized units that meet the needs of most students. If you are looking for space to hold a loveseat, boxes, and décor, you can likely make a 5x5 unit work. However, if you want to store a twin bed or sofa along with other household items, a 5x10 unit might be a better fit. There are options for non-temperature-controlled and temperature-controlled storage units. Some students even get organized with their roommates for next year and go in together to rent a larger unit, making for easy move-in come fall.

Summer storage options in the Auburn/Opelika area are plentiful. Check out the Auburn Chamber of Commerce listing for great options to jumpstart your search. Many of the local self-storage facilities offer summer specials for students.

If you are eagerly looking forward to welcoming your student back home but would prefer to do it without having to accommodate a mountain of their stuff, look into renting a storage unit.
