All students are strongly encouraged to have health insurance to help minimize their healthcare costs. Typically, students can maintain health insurance coverage through their parents until the age of 26, though there are exceptions. Families are encouraged to check with their specific health insurance plan to be sure. If, for some reason, your student is not already covered, consider student health insurance through Auburn.
Auburn University offers student health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, serviced by Academic Health Plans. The Auburn University Office of International Programs oversees the student health insurance plan.
