Auburn University offers numerous resources to help students stay ahead of the game as it pertains to academics, extracurricular activities, and mental and physical well-being. A few helpful resources to discuss with your student are listed below:

Academic Advising - Registration for Spring 2026 opens in early November. Advisors are available to help students stay on track with their academic goals. Advising appointments are at a premium after fall break, so students should schedule appointments sooner rather than later.

Academic Coaching - These personalized sessions help students identify their strengths, academic habits, and areas of concern. Students will create a tailored plan for academic success with a graduate-level, certified academic peer coach, setting clear goals and strategies to start the semester with confidence.

Miller Writing Center- Free, on-on-one appointments are available to current students. Undergraduate and graduate peer consultants can help your student with any kind of writing at any point in the writing process.

Study Partners - Students can schedule appointments with peer tutors who offer guidance, explain challenging concepts, and help reinforce learning. Taking advantage of peer tutoring early in the semester can give students a higher likelihood of mastering the material.

Supplemental Instruction - Led by students who have already successfully completed the course, these group learning sessions provide additional review in a collaborative learning environment to help students strengthen their understanding and excel in difficult subjects.

Student Counseling and Psychological Services - Preventative and clinical mental health services are available to all Auburn students. The start of the semester is a good time to begin individual or group counseling for students and is also a reminder to continue counseling for students who were utilizing these services in the Summer 2025 Semester.

Wellness Coaching - This individualized, goal-oriented program is designed to help Auburn students navigate their unique wellness journey. Certified wellness coaches support students in improving physical health, managing stress, building better habits, and enhancing overall life balance.
